Technical Project Manager – Databricks, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of complex, enterprise-wide data platforms utilizing Databricks.

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of modern data platform implementations.

• Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives, for teams in data engineering and data science.

• Monitor budgets and enhance cost efficiency for computing resources.

• Manage technical risks, ensuring data quality and addressing pipeline bottlenecks.

• Act as a liaison between C-level business needs and technical execution.

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Data Architects to prioritize the technical roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or Advisory Consultant.

• Proven experience in handling complex data and cloud projects.

• Strong knowledge of foundational AI and data platform principles.

• Familiarity with the architectural elements of Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Experience with a Big4 or top-tier technology consulting firm is a plus.

• Practical experience with Spark, Delta Lake, or MLOps tools is advantageous.

• Experience in enterprise implementations related to ERP, CRM, Core Banking, or BSS/OSS is desirable.

• Background in consulting sales or supporting public sector initiatives is a plus.

• Comprehensive business insight into at least two sectors: Banking, Telco, Energy, Insurance, Retail, or Production is beneficial.

• Strong people management abilities are a plus.

• Capacity to review and refine the work of technical subject matter experts is advantageous.
