Technical Project Manager – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the comprehensive delivery of workload migration from the mainframe to AWS.

• Take ownership of project planning, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery governance.

• Facilitate collaboration among engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and stakeholder teams throughout the migration process.

• Leverage knowledge of Rocket Software and mainframe technologies to comprehend technical requirements and foster technical discussions.

• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business/project stakeholders.

• Establish the migration strategy, sequencing, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Supervise migration testing, validation, and readiness initiatives.

• Identify and address technical and delivery obstacles.

• Ensure that the migrated workload satisfies functional, performance, and operational standards.

• Deliver reports on project advancement, risks, and results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Delivery Manager, or Migration Lead.

• Prior experience in executing technically intricate migration or modernization projects.

• Familiarity with Rocket Software technologies and their application in mainframe environments.

• Solid understanding of mainframe architecture and workloads.

• Experience with AWS and cloud migration initiatives.

• Technical credibility to engage closely with engineers, architects, and infrastructure experts.

• Strong grasp of testing, migration planning, dependencies, and technical risk management.

• Experience in coordinating multiple technical teams under stringent delivery timelines.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
