Technical Product Support Specialist – Metalworking & Tools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to customers via phone regarding product selection, post-sales support, product application inquiries, and troubleshooting.

• Engage with external customers, including end-users, maintenance technicians, and contractors.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as parts and sourcing specialists, sales personnel, and store team members.

• Deliver technical product support over the phone while utilizing various computer programs and applications.

• Navigate websites, perform web searches, and explore the Grainger online catalog for product information.

• Adhere to established protocols and published schedules during peak customer demand periods.

• Develop and enhance technical product knowledge through industry experience, vendor training, and practical learning.

• Collect and relay product feedback to product teams based on interactions with customers and field teams.

• Report directly to the Manager of TPS Customer Experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or hands-on field experience in applying, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hand/power tools, metalworking/welding, and test equipment.

• Proficient in computer usage.

• Capability to navigate various applications simultaneously using multiple screens or dual monitors.

• Experience with hand/power tools, metalworking/welding, and test equipment.

• Relevant experience may encompass construction work, welding, fabrication, or retail tool experience.
