Technical Product Support Specialist – Electrical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist customers over the phone in choosing the appropriate product.

• Provide support after sales.

• Respond to inquiries regarding product applications and troubleshooting for a wide array of Grainger products.

• Interact with external customers, including end-users, maintenance technicians, and contractors.

• Engage with internal customers, such as parts and sourcing specialists, sales, and store team members.

• Offer technical product support via telephone while utilizing multiple computer programs and applications concurrently.

• Identify solutions and document conversations with customers.

• Navigate websites, perform web searches, and conduct product searches using the Grainger online catalog.

• Leverage industry-related experience, formal vendor training, and on-the-job learning to achieve and sustain technical proficiency on Grainger products.

• Collect and relay product feedback to product teams based on interactions with customers and field team members.

• Report directly to the Manager of TPS Customer Experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant job experience or hands-on field experience.

• Experience in applying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and lighting systems, wiring, and controls.

• Electrical experience is mandatory.

• Familiarity with Industrial Controls and Automation.

• Proficient in computer usage.

• Capability to navigate various applications simultaneously across multiple screens or dual monitors.
