This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of Cadence’s transition from the pilot phase to a scalable, market-ready federal product.
• Define the product vision, roadmap, release strategy, backlog, and metrics for success.
• Lead a small technical team within the Sales Engineering department.
• Convert customer requirements into epics, user stories, technical specifications, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee sprint planning, product delivery, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with federal program managers, mission owners, and delivery teams to gain insights into existing work-management practices.
• Identify recurring issues across DoD and civilian agencies, distinguishing between reusable capabilities and customer-specific configurations.
• Develop the technical architecture and integration strategy with Microsoft 365/Power Platform, Planner, Jira, ServiceNow, data platforms, mission applications, and agency workflows.
• Formulate the federal deployment strategy, encompassing FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, Platform One or similar hosting solutions, RMF/ATO requirements, security controls, identity and access management, data handling, and integration limitations.
• Construct the commercial case, including target customers, use cases, pricing, packaging, implementation strategies, ROI, value proposition, and pathways for enterprise adoption.
• Collaborate with sales, account teams, capture, delivery, platform teams, security, and leadership to spot opportunities and transform demand into revenue.
• Conduct customer demonstrations, discovery sessions, and technical discussions.
• Set benchmarks for adoption, time savings, reporting burden, delivery predictability, SLA performance, pipeline growth, pilot conversion, revenue, and customer expansion.
• Proven experience in product management, product ownership, technical program management, solution architecture, or a related role focused on delivering software products.
• Demonstrated capability to oversee a product from customer discovery through to delivery, adoption, and growth—not merely managing a development backlog.
• Strong product judgment and a deep sense of user empathy.
• Experience leading agile technical teams while managing product backlogs, roadmaps, releases, trade-offs, and stakeholder expectations.
• Proficiency in defining value propositions, calculating customer ROI, developing pricing and packaging strategies, leading demos, and facilitating business closures.
• Technical fluency to guide architecture and implementation discussions with engineers, security teams, and customer technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with federal software deployment processes, including RMF, ATO procedures, FedRAMP, DoD security requirements, Platform One or equivalent accredited environments, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, early-stage product environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; active Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
• Only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance; applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Bonus: experience in commercializing federal software or transitioning a customer-funded pilot into a repeatable offering.
• Bonus: background as a software engineer, systems engineer, solution architect, or technical lead.
• Bonus: experience in government program management, portfolio management, logistics, acquisition, readiness, installation management, or complex mission operations.
• Bonus: experience with user research, workflow mapping, human-centered design, and product analytics.
• Bonus: experience in building SaaS, low-code/no-code, workflow management, portfolio management, or enterprise dashboard products.
• Bonus: knowledge of cloud authorization, continuous ATO, DevSecOps, and deployment across DoD and civilian agency environments.
• Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Generous retirement savings plan with company matching.
• Opportunities for professional development and growth.
• Flexible work hours and remote working options.
