Technical Product Manager – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Platform roadmap focused on robotic-cell software and the simulation pipeline.

• Conduct discovery and prioritization, transforming ideas from customers, engineering, and leadership into actionable tasks.

• Translate prioritized tasks into initiatives by crafting specifications, establishing milestones, and scheduling work in alignment with the company roadmap.

• Assess the necessary level of specification to identify potential costly errors prior to development.

• Manage cycle planning for the Platform pillar and outline cycle objectives.

• Monitor initiative milestones in collaboration with technical leads and address conflicts regarding estimates or targets through adjustments in scope, staffing, or timelines.

• Approve that completed work fulfills the specified requirements and quality benchmarks.

• Collaborate daily with team leads and senior engineers on technical decisions related to perception accuracy, cycle time, simulation fidelity, speed, and quality of delivery.

• Partner with deployment teams to guarantee that Platform releases function effectively on clients’ factory floors.

• Incorporate the needs of operators and facility managers from high-mix manufacturers into prioritization decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in robotics engineering; must have developed and launched robot software in areas such as perception, motion planning, manipulation, or robotics simulation as either an engineer or technical lead.

• Senior product experience overseeing a technical product domain involving 10 or more engineers from problem identification to product launch.

• Proven experience in writing specifications and requirements for products with significant change costs.

• Strong skills in estimation and delivery discipline, encompassing milestones, risk-based estimates, and transparent reforecasting.

• Capability to argue based on evidence and engage in constructive challenges with senior engineers.

• Exceptional proficiency in written English.

• Solid understanding of robotics principles, including both machine learning-based perception and control, as well as traditional methods.

• Experience in industrial automation or high-mix manufacturing is a plus.

• Practical experience with simulation tools, such as Isaac Sim, is advantageous.

• Experience as the lead or most senior product person within a technical domain is beneficial.

• Regular use of AI tools in product development is a plus.
