This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Convert client inquiries and solicitation needs into robust research and analytical strategies.
β’ Identify data sources, sampling techniques, comparison groups, assumptions, and analytical methodologies.
β’ Guide internal analysts in data gathering, preparation, analysis, and interpretation processes.
β’ Set benchmarks for source documentation, reproducibility, limitations, and evidence that supports conclusions.
β’ Evaluate models, calculations, survey tools, interview protocols, and analytical results.
β’ Recognize methodological risks, data deficiencies, and conclusions that surpass the available evidence.
β’ Choose and collaborate with specialized experts for clearly defined technical tasks.
β’ Convert findings into actionable recommendations for agency leaders.
β’ Assist in client presentations, technical discussions, and stakeholder workshops.
β’ Contribute technical methodologies, staffing assumptions, and effort estimates to proposals.
β’ Develop reusable methodologies, analytical templates, and training resources.
β’ Collaborate with the independent QA lead to address findings prior to delivery.
β’ Proven expertise in one or more relevant areas: labor economics, workforce analytics, public policy research, compensation analysis, economic development, or program evaluation.
β’ Experience in designing and executing applied research or analytical consulting projects.
β’ Strong quantitative abilities and the capacity to assess data quality, assumptions, and methodological constraints.
β’ Familiarity with public datasets and documenting analytical processes so that another qualified reviewer can replicate them.
β’ Ability to link analytical results to operational or policy-related decisions.
β’ Experience in supervising analysts or managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
β’ Excellent technical writing skills and the capability to convey complex findings to non-technical audiences.
β’ Relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience supported by completed work.
β’ Preferred: Advanced education in economics, statistics, public policy, public administration, or a related field.
β’ Preferred: Experience working with government agencies or other public-sector clients.
β’ Preferred: Knowledge of workforce and economic data sources such as BLS, Census, and state labor market information.
β’ Preferred: Proficiency in relevant analytical tools, including R, Python, SQL, or advanced Excel.
β’ Preferred: Experience with mixed-method research, survey design, compensation benchmarking, or evaluation design.
β’ Preferred: Background in developing reusable analytical methods and mentoring delivery teams.
