This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
β’ Oversee the design, development, and testing of software within an agile teamwork setting.
β’ Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, assign tasks, and offer support.
β’ Address intricate software issue reports by utilizing debugging tools.
β’ Detect and rectify software bugs while enhancing code performance.
β’ Provide technical leadership and spearhead initiatives for continuous improvement.
β’ Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
β’ Contribute to the development of requirements, implementation, and testing procedures.
β’ Work collaboratively across various engineering disciplines to evaluate, implement, and test system modification requests.
β’ Create mission-critical ground software for networking, command and control, threat, and weapon simulations.
β’ Assist with secure Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation systems throughout the phases of concept, accreditation, production, and installation.
β’ Proficient in software development, testing, and/or integration utilizing Java, C++, or C#.
β’ Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe, or DevSecOps.
β’ A valid and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required before the start date.
β’ U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
β’ Generally, a STEM degree along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
β’ Experience with Python is advantageous.
β’ Background in Windows and Linux development environments is necessary.
β’ Knowledge of multithreading is essential.
β’ Experience with networking and communications protocols is required.
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket is important.
β’ Experience with containerized applications like Docker is preferred.
