This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct weekly live sessions and walkthroughs focused on brand development, video editing, storytelling, and content strategy.
• Guide learners in crafting hooks, scripting, storytelling, and structuring videos.
• Offer asynchronous support on tools, workflows, project submissions, and portfolios through the community platform.
• Deliver actionable technical feedback and pinpoint areas to enhance curriculum content, briefs, resources, and tools.
• Suggest relevant tools, resources, and best practices in line with current content platforms and industry trends.
• Assist learners in creating impactful portfolios and personal brands to draw in clients or job opportunities.
• Maintain a regular daily presence on the community platform to foster peer collaboration, discussions, and Q&A.
• Cultivate a positive community atmosphere by celebrating learner achievements and acknowledging high-quality peer contributions.
• Aid in hosting 2–3 live community events monthly, including creative showcases, feedback sessions, and portfolio evaluations.
• Develop and distribute weekly community content, encompassing tools, frameworks, practical advice, creative prompts, and discussion initiators.
• Collaborate with the Community team to refine the community's tone, programming, and responses to learner requirements.
• Report directly to the program manager and work alongside cross-functional teams via Zoom, Slack, Gmail, and Circle.
• Demonstrated experience as a digital content creator, with a history of producing and publishing captivating content.
• Strong grasp of storytelling, audience engagement, and strategies for content growth.
• Proficient in content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Ability to analyze content performance metrics to assess effectiveness and guide content decisions.
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing constructive feedback to early-stage creatives.
• Comfortable using mobile-first and accessible tools, including relevant open-source solutions.
• Highly self-driven and organized.
• At ease working in a digital-first setting.
• Preferred time zones of GMT to GMT +3.
• Preferable: Experience in establishing and expanding a content brand from inception.
• Preferable: Robust understanding of African creative landscapes, audiences, and cultural narratives.
• Preferable: Experience in monetizing content through AdSense, affiliate marketing, and brand partnerships.
• Preferable: Knowledge of content business fundamentals, including contracts, pricing, partnerships, and crowdfunding.
• Preferable: A compelling portfolio showcasing successful content campaigns, storytelling, and strategies for audience growth.
