This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and sustain Clumio documentation, which includes getting-started paths, service protection guides, API and SDK references, as well as restore and recovery runbooks.
• Create efficient pathways to first value, enabling builders to protect S3 buckets, DynamoDB tables, or RDS instances independently, without requiring support or sales assistance.
• Write technical guides covering S3, Apache Iceberg, S3 Tables, DynamoDB, EC2/EBS, and RDS/Aurora, detailing aspects such as cost, scalability, recovery time, and failure scenarios.
• Manage the technical narrative in AWS Marketplace listings, trial flows, and in-product onboarding text.
• Deliver and maintain functional Terraform modules, CloudFormation and CDK templates, scripts, and sample integrations.
• Validate documented workflows in actual AWS environments, including code, permissions, and potential failure modes.
• Create hands-on labs and GameDay content for AWS events.
• Produce technical demonstrations and walkthroughs in various formats, including written, visual, or recorded content.
• Generate searchable and AI-retrievable content utilizing concrete mechanisms, examples, numbers, and scenarios.
• Identify and respond to builders’ inquiries regarding cloud data protection.
• Transform customer-scale data into public evidence, encompassing petabytes, object counts, recovery times, and cost deltas.
• Assess content performance through metrics such as activation rate, time to first backup, trial-to-paid conversion, docs-sourced signups, and support deflection.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to address product friction, work alongside growth on onboarding experiments, and support field and partner teams.
• Oversee the content roadmap while enhancing activation, trial success, qualified signups, and support deflection.
• 4+ years of experience in a developer-facing technical position—such as technical writing, developer relations, solutions engineering, support engineering, or software engineering—with a proven writing record.
• Capability to write both code and prose, ensuring code validation prior to publication.
• Proficient in AWS services including S3, IAM, DynamoDB, RDS, EC2, and cloud-team operating models.
• Practical experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK), APIs, SDKs, and command line usage.
• Familiarity with docs-as-code principles: Git, Markdown/MDX, PR-based review processes, and maintaining content in alignment with the product.
• Proven experience in creating technical content that has been published and made an impact; writing samples and example repositories are required.
• Nice to have: experience in data protection, storage solutions, data engineering, or lakehouse architectures.
• Nice to have: experience at a product-led organization where documentation served as a growth channel.
• Nice to have: an AWS certification or a personal AWS account with a billing history.
• Nice to have: familiarity with docs analytics, search behavior, or optimizing content for AI retrieval.
• High income earning potential based on individual performance.
• Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP).
• Ongoing professional development, product training, and career advancement opportunities.
• Comprehensive global benefits.
