Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, enhance, and maintain access to cloud-based AI technologies for IT departments, researchers, and faculty members.

• Deploy and troubleshoot cloud stacks.

• Establish and enforce policies for utilizing AI through cloud infrastructure and software services.

• Oversee requests for new technological solutions.

• Create a secure cloud environment.

• Guarantee appropriate service availability.

• Educate teams on emerging cloud and AI projects.

• Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure.

• Develop and uphold automation procedures.

• Contribute to operational procedures that support the AI and cloud infrastructure ecosystem.

• Identify the most effective cloud and AI solutions to meet business requirements.

• Maintain cloud infrastructures in line with best practices and security standards.

• Keep abreast of industry developments.

• Participate in an on-call rotation with infrastructure teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in cloud computing.

• Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure.

• Strong networking skills.

• Proficient troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• Capable of interacting with various customers in a professional manner.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Purdue University will not sponsor employment authorization for this role.

• Participation in an on-call rotation with infrastructure teams is required.
