Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Security and Compliance Practice across Delivery, Business Development, and Practice Development.

• Lead or contribute to small to medium-scale client engagements, whether onsite or remotely.

• Conduct strategy, roadmap, design, and planning workshops.

• Establish and manage customer expectations effectively.

• Drive the gathering of requirements, along with project tasks, milestones, status updates, dependencies, and timelines.

• Create, finalize, and conduct peer reviews of project deliverables.

• Present completed deliverables to client executive management.

• Support delivery engagements throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

• Aid business development efforts through client discovery meetings.

• Represent service offerings during sales processes, including scoping, proposal crafting, and presentations.

• Assist Principal Consultants and Security Sales Specialists with engagement scoping and proposal materials.

• Maintain expertise in at least four security domains or three security solutions.

• Participate in the development, enhancement, and standardization of in-practice service offerings.

• Enable multiple service capabilities.

• Keep a broad awareness of current and emerging IT trends, technologies, and standards.

• Provide support and mentorship to Associates.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement, thought leadership, and the maturation of service offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in information security and/or information security governance or compliance.

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or Business Management is preferred, but not mandatory.

• A minimum of 4 years in consulting or equivalent professional experience.

• Possession of 2 professional and/or technical certifications, including those recognized in AHEAD’s Security service portfolio.

• Over 2 years of hands-on experience with CNAPP tools, specifically Wiz and Prisma Cloud.

• More than 2 years of experience working with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

• Proven track record in reviewing and implementing secure cloud reference architectures and landing zones.

• Ability to convert risk strategies into cloud-native security controls.

• Strong knowledge of multi-cloud governance models, Infrastructure-as-Code, policy-as-code, tagging standards, and multi-account strategies.

• Expertise in integrating Wiz and Prisma Cloud with ServiceNow, CI/CD pipelines, and ticketing/alerting workflows.

• A solid record of deploying and initializing Prisma Cloud.

• Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Google Security Command Center.

• Hands-on experience with cloud identity, including IAM, Federation, and RBAC, across multi-cloud environments.

• Familiarity with Okta and Entra ID.

• Strong understanding of CIS Benchmarks, NIST, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

• Ability to design and align cloud-specific controls for audit and compliance purposes.

• Experience with SIEM integration, including Splunk, Sentinel, and Chronicle.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and apply Terraform, Bicep, and AWS CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with OPA, Sentinel, and IaC scanning within CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, along with securing workloads at scale.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
