This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for warfare systems on US Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, which includes command and control, navigation, communications, surface-to-ship combat, countermeasures, fire control, integrated afloat networks, and specialized systems.
• Engage in and coordinate the technical approval letters for Ship Alterations and participate in Technical Assessment Team reviews for Ship Change Documents.
• Assist the Virtual Technical Assessment Team Lead with TAT responsibilities for Ship Change Documents pertaining to Nimitz and Ford Class Aircraft Carriers.
• Keep the VTAT Lead updated on task assignments, changing priorities, enhancements in efficiency, and efforts for backlog reduction.
• Deliver weekly Ship Change Document Status Reports to the VTAT Lead for submission to the Project Manager for Modernization (PMS 312E).
• Provide updates during the absence of the VTAT Lead.
• Collaborate with Engineering Agents, Technical Authorities, TYCOM, PMS 312, PMS 378, SUPSHIP Newport News, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Ship Repair Facility, and other entities to address technical issues.
• Evaluate technical data packages, drawings, reports, logistics products, and training materials, offering technical recommendations.
• Create formal presentations to inform senior officials.
• High School Diploma or an equivalent educational background.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and managing ship change documentation or similar document control roles.
• Previous experience with the CVN 68 or CVN 78 Class systems.
• Familiarity with U.S. Navy Vessels, ideally nuclear-powered ships.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Current or active Secret clearance, or eligibility to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to commencement.
• Capability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
• Occasionally required to navigate within the office to access file cabinets, operate office machinery, or engage with co-workers, management, and clients through email, phone, or virtual communication.
