Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete technical architecture for the Rails product application, Python ML/CV services, agent SDK layer, and data platform.

• Balance the demands of enterprise customers with the speed of delivery.

• Enhance scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency for computer vision, LLM, and VLM inference pipelines.

• Amplify blueprint throughput by 100×.

• Establish the technical direction for vision models, LLM orchestration, agent runtime, MLflow registry, evaluation harnesses, and GPU budgeting.

• Conduct architectural reviews and uplift engineering standards through code assessments and design documentation.

• Guide senior engineers on cross-system trade-offs.

• Collaborate with the CEO and product team to define the technical roadmap for the next 12–18 months.

• Determine what should be developed in-house, purchased, deprecated, and when to prioritize platform development over feature creation.

• Write production code, engage in incident response and pull-request evaluations, and tackle challenging technical issues on a weekly basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in building production software.

• More than 3 years in senior staff, principal, architect, or CTO roles within a product-focused company.

• Extensive experience with at least two of the following: large Rails or Python monoliths, production computer vision pipelines, LLM/agent systems at scale, or data-intensive B2B SaaS.

• Hands-on expertise with AWS and/or GCP.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL at scale.

• Familiarity with background job systems such as RabbitMQ and Sidekiq.

• Knowledge of modern deployment practices.

• Proven history of making architectural decisions that have sustained growth of 10× or more.

• Must have authored and deployed production code within the last 6 months.

• Understanding of SRE and DevOps, including Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD.

• Capability to drive initiatives and collaborate effectively with dedicated SRE team members.

• Must have the legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Bonus: experience in construction, AEC, or other vertical-SaaS sectors; or experience taking a company from Series A to C from a technical standpoint.
