Tech Services Engineer – Midstream and Downstream

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical field support and expert consultation to clients in the midstream and downstream oil & gas sectors

• Act as the technical liaison for customers, sales teams, and supplier partners

• Perform site assessments to analyze customer operations and pinpoint areas for improvement

• Offer troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical advice for customer applications

• Assist with product implementation, startup processes, and ongoing program enhancements

• Create technical proposals, application solutions, and presentations for customers

• Conduct collaborative customer visits alongside sales and supplier representatives

• Provide product and industry training for both customers and internal teams

• Discover new business opportunities through customer engagement and market research

• Work with suppliers on product development, technical assistance, and new product introductions

• Engage in industry events, trade shows, and technical discussions

• Track customer activities, manage opportunity tracking, and report on market intelligence

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline is preferred

• 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, field service, field engineering, process engineering, or industrial operations

• Background in supporting customers in midstream or downstream oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, terminal, or pipeline operations

• Excellent troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and customer interaction skills

• Capability to develop and present technical solutions at various organizational levels

• Strong communication, organizational, and project management abilities

• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

• Willingness to travel frequently to customer locations within the designated territory
