This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of RN Reviewers responsible for evaluating and submitting assessments to ensure quality and compliance measures.

• Recruit and onboard assessment review nurses while providing continuous training on standard operating procedures and quality assessments.

• Monitor and track team productivity.

• Maintain an expert understanding of the Massachusetts assessment process and its application in measuring function and rating categories.

• Ensure that nurses reviewing MDS visits have access to adequate training and technology.

• Collaborate with the Manager of Assessment Review & Submission to balance the nurse workload.

• Guarantee that assessments are submitted punctually and consistently meet high-quality standards.

• Conduct a limited number of assessment visits and create and share best practices.

• Work collaboratively to enhance workflow and achieve team goals.

• Evaluate assessments for training and quality assurance purposes.

• Identify and analyze downgrades for potential assessment errors and possible rating category upgrades in conjunction with senior management.

• Examine claims, medical records, and assessment data to pinpoint inappropriate rating category assignments.

• Suggest members for status change assessment when deemed appropriate.

• Enhance knowledge of rating category requirements and assessment documentation.

• Undertake other job-related responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in completing MDS assessments is required.

• At least two (2) years of experience with electronic medical records is required.

• A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts, in good standing, is required.

• Strong proficiency in the UCA assessment tool.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Outstanding analytical and organizational abilities.

• Effective teaching skills.

• Strong technology skills, including familiarity with electronic health records and Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

• Experience in developing process documentation is preferred.

• Capability to simplify complex concepts into clear guidelines is preferred.
