This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.
β’ Engage in the Global Information Reporting Services practice, with an emphasis on international tax transparency and Private Equity processes.
β’ Offer advisory services to financial institutions concerning FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 (reporting and withholding for 1042 & 8804), and Withholding Foreign Partnerships.
β’ Coordinate with international teams across CRS participating jurisdictions to support financial institutions in their compliance efforts.
β’ Cultivate client relationships and oversee engagement workflows while managing tax associates and customer service specialists.
β’ Conduct thorough reviews of reporting data, validate tax forms, and ensure compliance with FATCA, CRS, and Chapter 3 requirements.
β’ Contribute to the development of internal technology by drafting business requirements and participating in technology testing.
β’ Participate in training sessions and educate tax associates on the impacts of regulations.
β’ Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is required.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a related discipline.
β’ Capability to manage deadlines, handle multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks as needed.
β’ Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
β’ Proficient in the use of relevant technology.
β’ Willingness to travel based on client and business requirements.
β’ Preferred: at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
β’ CPA candidates are preferred.
β’ Preferred: 3 years of experience with FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, WHFPs, QIs, 871m, or other withholding and reporting frameworks.
β’ Preferred: experience in the preparation and review of 1042, 8804, FATCA & CRS returns, and validation of tax forms (W-8, W-9, or CRS Self-Certifications).
β’ Preferred: an advanced degree such as a Masters of Tax, JD, LLM, accounting degree, or MBA.
β’ Preferred: prior experience in a Big 4 firm, CPA firm, or law firm.
β’ Must be capable of working collaboratively in a team setting.
