This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Prepare advanced tax computations, workpapers, and tax entries.
• Prepare intricate income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, multistate, corporate, and other entities.
• Review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, multistate, corporate, and other entities.
• Assist with year-end planning and quarterly tax estimations.
• Address notices from the IRS or State Taxing Authority and coordinate timely responses.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage workflow for effective engagement oversight.
• Organize and manage clients’ income tax data to ensure accurate and timely completion.
• Review and aid in the research of technical issues.
• Verify the accuracy and validity of client financial matters.
• Initiate and manage client communications with staff or Partners.
• Identify and discuss tax planning strategies with a Manager/Partner.
• Collaborate across departments to gather information and resolve client issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency with necessary software.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Public Accounting.
• Experience in tax preparation and review (Business).
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in various accounting software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, tax law, and tax processes.
• Familiarity with financial statement procedures and the ability to differentiate between material and immaterial items.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and knowledge of review, compilation, and auditing standards.
• Ability to creatively solve problems and analyze client data.
• Capacity to effectively delegate, supervise, and review the work of less experienced staff.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and client needs while maintaining composure.
