This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
β’ Take ownership of and expand Rapyd's regulatory reporting responsibilities for the EU and internationally, managing the process from start to finish.
β’ Oversee regulatory reporting in all EU jurisdictions where Rapyd operates, which includes data extraction, reconciliation, submission coordination, quality control, regulatory correspondence, and handling authority inquiries.
β’ Administer FATCA and CRS requirements for Rapyd's entities worldwide, covering entity classification assessments, due diligence processes, reportable account identification, annual report submissions, and compliance with IRS/local competent authorities.
β’ Direct DAC6 and DAC7 compliance for EU entities, which involves hallmark evaluations, intermediary responsibilities, and collaboration with external legal counsel.
β’ Provide guidance on new product introductions, payment processes, and changes to business models from a regulatory reporting standpoint.
β’ Develop scalable data pipelines and reporting frameworks in collaboration with Product, Data, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders.
β’ Keep track of EU legislative changes, evaluate their impact on the business, and recommend strategies to senior management.
β’ Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities across various EU jurisdictions.
β’ Cultivate relationships with external advisors regarding regulatory reporting issues.
β’ Contribute to transfer pricing documentation, corporate income tax compliance, and VAT as time permits.
β’ Collaborate directly with the VP Global Tax and partner with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams throughout the organization.
β’ 5-8 years of pertinent tax experience.
β’ Professional background in a Big 4 or international tax advisory firm and/or an in-house tax role.
β’ In-depth understanding of EU tax regulations, international taxation, and transfer pricing.
β’ Familiarity with the OECD framework and cross-border tax structuring.
β’ Experience in tax compliance and tax risk management within a multinational context.
β’ Capability to work effectively and independently with both external advisors and internal cross-functional teams.
β’ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
β’ Strong aptitude for working with large, intricate datasets; comfort with data management tools is essential.
β’ Direct hands-on experience with at least one of CESOP, FATCA, or CRS compliance from start to finish is preferred.
β’ Proficiency in English is required.
