This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and manage designated customer tax profiles, encompassing jurisdictions, account numbers, unemployment insurance rates, filing frequencies, account statuses, and other employer tax characteristics.
• Execute precise and timely updates of tax profiles within authorized systems and tools.
• Oversee assigned customer cases and internal tasks from initiation to resolution, including prioritization, research, documentation, communication, follow-up, closure, or transfer.
• Provide professional assistance for inquiries regarding tax profiles, tax-code setup requirements, general payroll tax questions, and data concerns reported by customers.
• Analyze payroll tax data at both employer and employee levels, investigating discrepancies in wages, taxes, data, or configurations.
• Recognize conditions that may impact funding, payments, filings, reconciliation, or customer reporting and initiate necessary corrections or escalations.
• Utilize established outreach and escalation protocols, set clear expectations, and ensure thorough handoffs when specialized ownership is warranted.
• Collaborate with Tax Operations and leverage Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools to manage workload, identify exceptions, and aid decision-making.
• Achieve established service levels, deadlines, quality standards, production expectations, and critical monthly, quarterly, year-end, or ad hoc business needs.
• Safeguard customer and company information, engage in training and process enhancements, adapt to evolving requirements, and embody OSV values.
• Associate degree or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax principles and multi-jurisdictional obligations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of organizing, comparing, filtering, and analyzing data.
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering accurate, well-documented results.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in payroll tax outsourcing or managed services is preferred.
• Background in payroll tax, payroll operations, tax data management, or a similar data-intensive service setting is preferred.
