This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and refresh designated customer tax profiles, encompassing jurisdictions, account numbers, unemployment insurance rates, filing frequencies, account statuses, and various employer tax characteristics.
• Execute precise and timely tax profile modifications within authorized systems and tools.
• Handle assigned customer cases and internal responsibilities from initiation to resolution, including prioritization, research, documentation, communication, follow-up, closure, or transfer.
• Assist with inquiries regarding tax profiles, tax-code setups, general payroll tax questions, and data issues reported by customers.
• Analyze employer and employee-level payroll tax data and investigate any discrepancies in wages, taxes, data, or configurations.
• Detect circumstances impacting funding, payments, filings, reconciliations, or customer reporting, and initiate necessary corrections or escalations.
• Employ outreach and escalation methods, set expectations, and ensure complete transitions when specialized ownership is necessary.
• Collaborate across Tax Operations and utilize Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools to manage workflows, identify exceptions, and support decision-making.
• Achieve service levels, deadlines, quality benchmarks, production expectations, and critical monthly, quarterly, year-end, or ad hoc business requirements.
• Safeguard customer and company information, engage in training and process enhancement, adapt to evolving requirements, and embody OSV values.
• Associate degree or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
• Fundamental understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax principles and multi-jurisdictional obligations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the capability to organize, compare, filter, and analyze data.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering accurate, well-documented work.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in payroll tax outsourcing or managed services is preferred.
• Background in payroll tax, payroll operations, tax data management, or a similar data-driven service environment is preferred.
• Consistent attendance, sustained concentration, confidentiality, and effective virtual collaboration are essential.
