Systems Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee functional support and service for the installation and testing of software, patches, and system product upgrades.

• Evaluate functional requirements, estimate testing efforts, develop test cases and scenarios, plan tests, execute system testing, and report outcomes.

• Test large-scale enterprise finance applications such as PeopleSoft Financials/Oracle Cloud ERP, BlackLine, and Coupa/Ariba.

• Construct comprehensive regression test suites and conduct regression testing for General Ledger, automated reconciliations, and procure-to-pay workflows.

• Identify end-to-end and regression test cases suitable for automation and develop automation suites employing Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development methodologies.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines, execute automated end-to-end test suites, and manage source code within Git repositories.

• Conduct integration and end-to-end testing via Integration Broker, Security Console, batch processes, Process Scheduler, workflows, PS Query, and Tree Manager.

• Execute automation testing using the PeopleSoft Test Framework.

• Utilize Automation Anywhere to create bots that streamline business processes.

• Carry out API testing across both upstream and downstream systems.

• Validate backend databases through complex SQL queries using SQL Developer and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Create automated database test suites employing ODBC connection JARs.

• Draft DDL/DML scripts for production support tasks.

• Engage in daily standups and Agile Scrum sprint planning to provide QA updates and collect insights.

• Implement QA methodologies that incorporate risk-based testing and Shift Left strategies.

• Adhere to enterprise Change Management and Incident Management protocols.

• Establish traceability between requirements and corresponding test cases.

• Manage test plans, test cases, test outcomes, and defects using Azure DevOps and Jira.

• Collect QA metrics and Objectives and Key Results to foster continuous process enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, coupled with five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Test Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or a similar role; alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of these areas plus three (3) years of experience.

• Proven experience with enterprise-scale PeopleSoft Financials.

• Knowledge of Process Scheduler, PS Query, PS Jobs, batch processes, and report validation.

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Test Framework for automation in PeopleSoft.

• Experience with enterprise-scale automated reconciliation processes using BlackLine.

• Proficiency in enterprise procure-to-pay processes utilizing Ariba or Coupa.

• Background in requirements analysis, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, and Unified Functional Testing (UFT).

• Proven ability to build automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven.

• Expertise in designing, setting up, and managing comprehensive CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

• Proficiency in Java or Python.

• Experience with VB or Groovy.

• Knowledge of SQL databases.

• Experience with API testing using SOAP UI, Postman, or REST Assured.

• Familiarity with defect tracking, test management, version control, and collaboration tools.

• Experience with Agile methodologies, risk-based testing, Shift Left strategies, boundary value analysis, black box, and white box testing techniques.

• Knowledge of SDLC processes, software release cycles, and ServiceNow Change Management.
