Part Time Systems Engineer Co-Op

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Engage in the Raytheon Cooperative Education Program as a part-time remote electrical engineering co-op.

• Participate in monthly engagement seminars, fulfill mandatory training, engage in security clearance processes, and meet with a mentor.

• Dedicate 2–4 hours per month to support co-op activities; this role does not include internship or direct program/project responsibilities during the co-op duration.

• Following graduation and clearance approval, transition to a full-time onsite position in Aurora, Colorado.

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of systems for customer missions.

• Contribute to customer domain-specific mission concepts and technologies.

• Implement systems engineering principles encompassing requirements, architecture, design, and testing.

• Support software engineering methodologies, artificial intelligence, and agile development practices.

• Aid in continuous integration and continuous delivery infrastructure.

• Assist with mockup hardware, sustainment/depot returns, and repair tasks.

• After thorough on-the-job training, provide support for RF Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Systems Integration & Test activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior or postgraduate student in Electrical Engineering, set to graduate or complete studies in December 2027.

• At least 90 credit hours completed by the beginning of the internship/co-op session.

• Academic or internship experience involving hands-on testing of electronic equipment.

• Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues related to electronics using standard commercial test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.

• Experience with data analysis using tools like MATLAB.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

• U.S. citizenship is necessary for security clearance eligibility.

• An active and existing DoD TS/SCI security clearance is required starting from day 1.
