Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create innovative concepts for advanced, high-performance infrastructure environments.

• Provide guidance to clients on the technical viability of IT infrastructure projects.

• Design solution architectures for IT initiatives and processes.

• Collaborate with specialized departments and Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM).

• Offer consultancy on technology solutions.

• Assist with infrastructure projects from the planning phase through to implementation.

• Oversee the IT security evaluation of architectures and IT solutions.

• Help clients with inquiries related to security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity.

• Collect requirements from stakeholders.

• Analyze potential use cases for implementation.

• Evaluate technical feasibility of proposed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or vocational training in a technology-related field.

• Several years of experience as an IT Architect or in a similar role.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies.

• Experience in implementing services within diverse infrastructure environments.

• Basic experience with cloud infrastructures, preferably private cloud or a similar setting.

• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.

• Customer-oriented attitude.

• Familiarity with documentation that adheres to BSI requirements and IT standards.

• Proficiency in German.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer.

• Familiarity with Linux, especially SUSE Linux Enterprise and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• Scripting abilities in PowerShell.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.

• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally private cloud or AWS.

• Familiarity with MS SQL, Oracle, and MariaDB/MySQL.

• Knowledge of load balancing technologies such as Radware Alteon.

• Understanding of middleware solutions like Apache, Tomcat, IIS, and JBoss.

• Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.

• Knowledge of network components such as TCP/IP, firewalls, and routers.

• Experience with backup solutions and strategies.
