Senior Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a concierge for Divisional Analytics Teams (DATs).

• Leverage understanding of business requirements to assist DATs in formulating and implementing a data strategy.

• Oversee the development and delivery of data assets.

• Act as the primary contact for issues and escalations from business stakeholders.

• Provide support and maintenance for database-related applications.

• Administer VSAM files, including design, recovery, tuning, testing, and support for disaster recovery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience in Information Technology, or a Technical Certification and/or relevant College Courses with 6 years of Information Technology experience, or 8 years of experience in Information Technology.

• Familiarity with application configuration.

• Understanding of Big Data Analytics technologies such as HAVeN, HADOOP, Autonomy, and Vertica.

• Awareness of Cloud computing models including SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS.

• Proficiency in Integration Technologies like Tibco, Informatica, and CAS.

• Knowledge of Mobile technologies, including Phonegap, iOS, Android, Java, and HTML5.

• Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, PERL, PYTHON, and RUBY.

• Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture including SOAP and REST.

• Understanding of Web Technologies including HTML, CSS, Java, ASP.Net, PHP, Ruby, and C#.

• Capability in rapid prototyping.

• Skills in requirements definition and management.

• Experience with SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Iterative Development.

• Proficiency in system performance management.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field in Information Technology.

• Preferred: Experience with VSAM file administration and management, encompassing backup and restore, forward recovery, conversions, reorganizations, free space tuning, naming conventions, special loads and reports, logstream management, copybook creation and change management, disaster recovery support, data flow and file design, test database creation, production file test copies, record fixes, batch tuning, CICS memory/topology, and CICS VR administration.

• Experience in supporting and maintaining database-related applications, including Blue Chip Term Up (GTUP), Terminal Operator File (GTOF), record locking, EAIN, Key Range Verify, SDO authorization reports, and audit requests/reports.
