Systems and Network Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Oversee the operational integrity of the entire information systems network, which includes both the local area network (LAN) and the enterprise network.

• Set up and monitor network equipment.

• Handle incidents and service requests efficiently.

• Ensure data integrity, security, and ongoing maintenance.

• Conduct system and database backups and restoration processes.

• Safeguard the security of networks and connected workstations.

• Oversee the functioning of internal email services and connectivity policies, especially pertaining to Wi-Fi.

• Coordinate and supervise technical projects related to network infrastructure.

• Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including audits and network mapping initiatives.

• Propose modifications in alignment with organizational advancements.

• Keep abreast of technological advancements.

• Provide updates on project progress and any challenges faced.

⛳️ Requirements

• Level 5 qualification (previously Level 3) in IT, telecommunications, and networks.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a local government organization.

• A valid Category B driving license is essential.

• Strong knowledge of IT tools and operating systems.

• In-depth understanding of network administration, specifically STORMSHIELD firewall management.

• Familiarity with telephony systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT and network security standards and practices.

• Awareness of system environments and communication protocols.

• Knowledge of systems and network infrastructure monitoring tools.

• Proficient with database monitoring tools.

• Understanding of access rights and authentication methods.

• Expertise in systems and network infrastructure monitoring tools.

• Skilled in planning techniques and tools.

• Capability to diagnose issues effectively.

• Ability to enhance user awareness.

• Competence in leading and coordinating activities and tasks involving multiple technicians, service providers, and suppliers.

• Ability to monitor and ensure adherence to the budget allocated for the IT Master Plan and network projects.
