System Engineer, Platform Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the subject matter expert for HaloPSA, providing guidance to the team on intricate platform administration and strategic enhancements.

• Oversee the HaloPSA implementation process from migration to go-live, collaborating closely with leadership to facilitate a seamless transition from ConnectWise.

• Create dashboards, reports, and operational metrics that enhance visibility, compliance, and business value.

• Develop standardized procedures and documentation that diminish reliance on tribal knowledge, enabling the entire NOC team to support HaloPSA effectively.

• Identify and execute automation and process enhancements across HaloPSA and integrated platforms to minimize operational friction.

• Manage escalations and resolve complex platform-related issues that involve multiple teams.

• Work in partnership with Development, Automation, and all value streams to perpetually enhance platform workflows and organizational efficiency.

• Take ownership of platform administration, process improvements, automation, and team training for HaloPSA post-implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in systems engineering, platform administration, or infrastructure operations within an MSP or technical services setting.

• Practical experience managing a PSA or ticketing platform (such as ConnectWise, HaloPSA, Autotask, or similar), including workflows, automation rules, and reporting.

• Experience in Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, focusing on enterprise applications, identity integrations, and partner delegated access.

• Proficient in PowerShell or a comparable scripting language, utilized regularly for automating platform operations and reporting.

• Familiarity with SQL for reporting and operational analytics.

• Proven ability to establish operational standards, processes, and documentation.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and systems engineering expertise with a process-oriented approach.

• Hands-on experience with HaloPSA administration and configuration.

• Experience with API and integration in connecting RMM, documentation, accounting, and email tools.

• Knowledge of asset and configuration management (CMDB, asset lifecycle).

• Possession of HaloPSA certification or ITIL certification.

• Experience in leading platform migrations or go-live implementations.

• A background in decreasing organizational reliance on tribal knowledge through consistent processes and training programs.
