Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive Adobe Experience Cloud solutions that convert business and customer requirements into platform functionalities, integrations, data flows, and operational models.

• Establish and uphold reference architectures, integration methodologies, technical standards, and reusable implementation resources.

• Advise on technology choices related to Adobe products, APIs, custom applications, integration platforms, and third-party technologies.

• Document architectural decisions, dependencies, limitations, risks, and technical compromises.

• Perform solution architecture and implementation evaluations for scalability, resilience, performance, accessibility, maintainability, security, and cost-efficiency.

• Create architectural frameworks and standards for Adobe Experience Platform and Real-Time CDP, covering XDM schemas, data ingestion, identity management, profiles, audiences, destinations, and activation.

• Collaborate with development, analytics, and data engineering teams on data collection, data layers, tagging, identity, measurement, and activation protocols.

• Establish guidelines for Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK, Adobe Experience Platform Tags, APIs, connectors, and associated data collection functionalities.

• Support requirements for privacy, consent, identity, and data governance.

• Outline scalable implementation and integration strategies for AEM as a Cloud Service, including Sites and Assets.

• Direct practices related to AEM Cloud Manager, Git, CI/CD, Dispatcher, CDN, content, and asset delivery.

• Develop integration patterns utilizing REST APIs, JSON, authentication methods, webhooks, and event-driven services.

• Offer technical direction for JavaScript, Java, Python, and other development technologies.

• Evaluate Adobe implementations and formulate modernization and migration strategies.

• Assess and prototype AI-enabled and agent-based Adobe functionalities.

• Specify security and privacy guidelines, including IAM, RBAC, consent, credential management, and data governance.

• Ensure effective release processes, monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, support ownership, runbooks, and operational documentation.

• Diagnose complex incidents involving the Adobe platform and integrations in collaboration with Adobe product teams and internal stakeholders.

• Contribute to the operational readiness of business-critical Adobe Experience Cloud services requiring continuous availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Extensive experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital experience solutions, including architectural responsibilities across various Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities.

• Strong hands-on architectural experience with one or more of the following: Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service, Adobe Experience Platform / Real-Time CDP, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign.

• In-depth understanding of digital experience architecture, encompassing content management, customer data, analytics, personalization, and marketing technology.

• Experience in designing enterprise integrations using REST APIs, identity services, event-driven integration methodologies, and data pipelines.

• Familiarity with customer data architecture, including schemas, identity management, profiles, audiences, data ingestion, activation, and measurement.

• Experience in establishing architectural standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, or reusable engineering patterns.

• Capability to assess architecture for scalability, resilience, performance, security, maintainability, and operational readiness.

• Proficient in communicating complex technical decisions, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and influence decisions across cross-functional teams.

• Preferred: familiarity with AEM Cloud Manager, Dispatcher, CDNs, cloud-based AEM deployment practices, Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK, Adobe Experience Platform Tags, XDM, Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, containers, Kubernetes, OpenShift, identity and consent management, data governance, privacy-by-design, customer journey orchestration, personalization, experimentation, digital analytics, CDPs, large-scale enterprise transformation, Agile delivery, and production digital experience platforms.
