System Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and influence integrations, define domain boundaries, system architecture, and the evolution of the SaaS product suite.

• Establish and uphold an integration strategy that encompasses REST, events, APIs, and data feeds.

• Create real-time, on-demand, and hybrid integration models.

• Facilitate technical workshops with clients and partners.

• Ensure integrations are aligned with domain boundaries, data contracts, and security protocols.

• Manage message contracts, event schemas, versioning, and error handling frameworks.

• Implement security protocols such as OAuth2, mTLS, Azure AD, and Key Vault.

• Oversee monitoring, observability, reliability, tracking, retries, and dead-letter queue management.

• Act as a technical consultant for designated domains, ensuring architectural consistency.

• Develop domain models, bounded contexts, aggregates, and integration interfaces.

• Define APIs and event contracts across microservices and inter-domain workflows.

• Assess epics and initiatives for architectural viability and service accountability.

• Provide support to teams with high-level design, technology selection, and architectural frameworks.

• Engage in architecture evaluations and platform governance.

• Mentor teams on Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, and engineering methodologies.

• Maintain architecture diagrams, specifications, interface documentation, and Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).

• Design and manage a secure, efficient, and cost-effective multi-tenant model.

• Contribute to the long-term architectural vision and platform strategy.

• Participate in pre-sales activities, technical scoping, and early solution design.

• Assist in troubleshooting and enhancing performance for complex integrations and distributed systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey architectural decisions to both leadership and engineering teams.

• Experience in integration architectures, including Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and Webhooks.

• Hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.

• Strong grasp of Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture principles.

• Proven ability to create high-quality technical documentation and diagrams using tools like Miro, Lucid, C4, and Event Catalog.

• Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with customers.

• Robust background in Azure Cloud services.

• Capability to enforce architectural standards through ADRs, reviews, and quality checkpoints.

• Familiar with governance, audit logging, and proactive system health oversight.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Delivery teams.

• Proficient in English.

• Preferred: Over 10 years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in architectural roles within enterprise SaaS environments.

• Proven track record of modernizing or commercializing legacy platforms into scalable, multi-tenant solutions.

• Demonstrated success in designing enterprise-grade integrations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with MassTransit.

• Practical experience with AI/ML, LLMs, or agent-based architectures.

• Azure Cloud certifications.

• Knowledge of security and compliance for medical or regulated data, including HIPAA and GDPR.

• Familiarity with .NET and React.
