System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Document comprehensive cloud hosting architectures, covering capacity planning, selection of software and instance types, resource allocation, and network design.

• Construct systems by installing, configuring, and testing cloud resources.

• Utilize automation and configuration management to guarantee the repeatability and traceability of modifications.

• Diagnose issues related to system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.

• Apply access controls and monitoring tools to safeguard system integrity and security.

• Deliver written assessments and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Oversee and evaluate systems, performing performance tuning as necessary.

• Maintain documentation for internal systems and customer deployments.

• Engage in a 24/7 on-call rotation, typically one week on call followed by one week on backup each month.

• Address support tickets and incidents in accordance with SLA commitments.

• Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional literature, personal networks, and industry organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be residing in Brazil.

• Resume must be submitted in English as a PDF.

• No visa sponsorship available.

• At least 2 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Proficient to advanced English communication skills.

• Familiarity with Linux System Administration.

• Experience with a scripting language; Python and Shell are preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.

• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs.

• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Additional experience with other cloud providers is a plus.

• AWS Certifications or a desire to become certified is advantageous.

• Interest in Generative AI technologies is a plus.

• Some experience in Windows System administration is preferred.
