This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the administration of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Facilitate the complete setup and migration process to Microsoft 365.
• Manage Windows and Mac endpoints utilizing MDM tools for enrollment, configuration, compliance, and patch management.
• Administer SSO, MFA, directory integrations, identity provider configurations, and authentication policies.
• Oversee DLP, EDR, email security, and SIEM tools for effective threat detection and policy enforcement.
• Provide tier 2/3 support for company-wide SaaS applications.
• Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts across endpoint, email, identity, and cloud environments.
• Support compliance initiatives and internal audits; maintain documentation and evidence of security controls.
• Contribute to incident response actions, including detection, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
• Assist with vulnerability management, tracking patch cadences, and reporting on endpoint hygiene.
• Identify operational or security gaps and drive the remediation process.
• Create dashboards and reports that reflect security metrics, compliance status, and operational health.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure adherence to SLAs.
• Supervise security operations and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
• Translate business requirements into operational capabilities, including capacity planning, DR/BCP design, cloud migration strategy, and lifecycle roadmaps.
• Report directly to the IT Director as a proactive individual contributor.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT systems administration, security, operations, or a combined role.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing modern, complex IT environments.
• Experience with enterprise-level collaboration suite administration, particularly with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of identity and access controls, patching, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices.
• Experience in designing and testing disaster recovery plans, with an understanding of RTO/RPO and backup validation.
• Working knowledge of EDR, email security (including SPF/DKIM/DMARC and anti-phishing), DLP, or SIEM tools in an operational role.
• Hands-on experience with MDM/UEM across Mac and Windows; familiarity with Jamf, Microsoft Intune, or similar tools.
• Experience administering SSO, MFA, and identity providers such as Okta, Google Identity, Azure AD/Entra ID, or comparable systems.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, endpoint hygiene, phishing defense, and zero-trust principles.
• Experience in supporting a fully remote or distributed workforce.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a law firm, legal technology, or professional services setting (preferred).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or NIST CSF (preferred).
• 1–3 years of leadership or management experience overseeing IT professionals (preferred).
• Understanding of monitoring and logging tools like Nagios, Splunk, or the ELK stack (preferred).
• Experience with scripting or automation using n8n, Python, Bash, or Google Apps Script (preferred).
• Experience in cloud security posture management or SaaS security assessments (preferred).
• Proven experience with disaster recovery planning and testing (preferred).
