System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Document comprehensive cloud hosting systems, covering capacity planning, selection of software and instance types, allocation, and network architecture.

• Construct cloud systems by installing, configuring, and testing cloud resources.

• Leverage automation and configuration management to guarantee repeatability and traceability of modifications.

• Diagnose issues related to system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.

• Establish access controls and monitoring tools to safeguard system integrity and security.

• Provide written assessments and suggestions for continuous enhancement.

• Monitor and evaluate systems while conducting performance tuning.

• Preserve internal systems and documentation for customer deployments.

• Engage in a 24x7 on-call rotation, typically one week on call followed by one week on backup each month.

• Address support tickets and incidents in accordance with SLA commitments.

• Enhance job knowledge through educational avenues, professional publications, personal networks, and professional associations.

• Must reside in Brazil.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Advanced to fluent proficiency in English communication skills.

• Familiarity with Linux System Administration.

• Experience with scripting languages; Python and Shell are preferred.

• Extensive understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.

• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs.

• Willingness to take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Additional experience with other cloud providers is advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving skills and readiness to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.

• Customer-focused with effective communication abilities.

• AWS Certifications or a willingness to pursue certification is a plus.

• Interest in Generative AI technologies is a bonus.

• Some experience in Windows System Administration is a plus.

• Must not require visa sponsorship due to legal restrictions.
