Linux SysAdmin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Manage and maintain Linux servers in high-availability environments

• Install, configure, optimize, and support database engines such as MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis

• Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of database engines, applying tuning and optimization practices

• Participate in the design and implementation of scalable and redundant architectures

• Manage patches, updates, and contingency plans for Linux platforms and databases

• Collaborate with Networking, Storage, Virtualization, and Security teams to integrate end-to-end solutions

• Automate operational processes using Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or other tools

• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in production environments

• Take part in rotating on-call duties to guarantee the continuity of critical services

• Contribute to the stability, security, scalability, performance, automation, and continuous improvement of DonWeb's critical hosting infrastructure

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Linux system administration within production environments (minimum 3 years)

• Solid knowledge in at least one of the following database engines: MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL

• Experience in clustering, replication, and high-availability configuration in databases

• Familiarity with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana

• Knowledge of scripting: Bash, Python

• Understanding of automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform

• Knowledge in virtualization and containers: VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes (desirable)

• Good understanding of networks and TCP/IP protocols

• Technical English (reading and writing)

• Ability to work in a team, share knowledge, and collaborate

• Autonomy in solving complex problems in critical situations

• Analytical profile with a focus on continuous improvement

• Flexibility and adaptability to a constantly evolving environment
