System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Set up, configure, manage, maintain, and optimize Zabbix monitoring systems.

• Configure Zabbix hosts, templates, triggers, alerts, dashboards, discovery rules, proxies, and integrations.

• Set up and troubleshoot SNMP-based monitoring for servers and network devices.

• Provide support for monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, and/or Nagios.

• Install, configure, patch, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments.

• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

• Oversee VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Proxmox environments.

• Support Docker and containerized environments.

• Create automation scripts using Bash/Shell and PowerShell.

• Assist with networking services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.

• Provide support for MySQL/PostgreSQL databases and related applications.

• Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and Teams.

• Deliver Tier 2/Tier 3 infrastructure support and engage in incident and root-cause analysis.

• Develop technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and system diagrams.

• Collaborate with engineering, networking, security, and managed services teams to resolve complex issues.

• Identify opportunities for automation, monitoring, reliability, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential hands-on experience with Zabbix Administration, including installation, configuration, templates, triggers, alerting, SNMP, dashboards, proxies, and integrations.

• Strong experience in Linux and Windows Server administration.

• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.

• Familiarity with VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Proxmox.

• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.

• Proficiency in scripting with Bash/Shell and PowerShell.

• Experience using Git and GitHub/GitLab.

• Knowledge of working with APIs and system integrations.

• Practical knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.

• Solid understanding of networking principles, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.

• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration or Infrastructure in an enterprise, MSP, Managed Services, or similar IT environment.

• Required experience in an MSP/Managed Services environment supporting multiple customer environments.

• Extensive experience supporting production infrastructure.

• Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, and/or Nagios.

• Experience in virtualization, containers, scripting, APIs, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced managed services environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to support other shifts as needed.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
