Sustainability Operations Excellence Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead operational excellence and integrate enterprise processes across the global Sustainability & EHS function within the Electrification Segment.

• Implement Lean methodologies throughout Sustainability and EHS functions on a global scale.

• Conduct M&A due diligence and spearhead post-merger integration for Sustainability and EHS activities.

• Redesign and oversee the global Sustainability & EHS operational framework, encompassing roles, responsibilities, escalation pathways, audit schedules, and performance routines.

• Collaborate in the design, implementation, and supervision of serious injury prevention initiatives and plans aimed at reducing injury and illness rates.

• Manage H&S reporting, metrics, dashboards, data integrity, timeliness, and provide actionable insights for leadership.

• Engage with GEV teams and Electrification Lean and business line leaders globally.

• Facilitate and instill Kaizen, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement practices.

• Eliminate inefficiencies, standardize processes, and enhance cycle times.

• Create scalable governance and M&A integration capabilities aligned with the 2030 sustainability and EHS objectives.

• Conduct EHS maturity evaluations and develop capability-building roadmaps throughout the Electrification Segment.

• Report directly to the Sustainability Leader for the Electrification Segment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• Extensive and progressive experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or enterprise integration roles in industrial or manufacturing settings.

• Significant international exposure with the ability to design and implement management systems on a global scale across various countries and cultures.

• Proven success in deploying Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives resulting in measurable enhancements in process efficiency, governance maturity, or operational KPIs at an enterprise level.

• Experience leading global M&A due diligence, post-merger integration, and business transformation initiatives.

• Capability to evaluate, harmonize, and unify operating models and governance frameworks into a cohesive system.

• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, performance management systems, and standardized operating models across various regulatory and cultural contexts.

• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and H&S standards and regulations is preferred but not mandatory.

• Excellent skills in stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication, with the ability to influence senior leaders and promote adoption across diverse cultural settings.

• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish, Italian, French, or German is valued.

• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt+ certification or equivalent is a distinguishing factor.

• An MBA or advanced qualification in operational excellence or business transformation is advantageous.
