Sustainability Operations Excellence Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Champion operational excellence and enterprise integration throughout the global Sustainability & EHS division for the Electrification Segment.

• Execute Lean methodologies across Sustainability and EHS functions on a global scale.

• Conduct M&A due diligence and spearhead post-merger integration initiatives.

• Redefine and manage the global Sustainability & EHS operating and governance framework.

• Collaborate in the design, deployment, and management of serious injury prevention programs and I&I rate reduction strategies.

• Oversee H&S reporting, metrics, and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights for leadership.

• Engage with GEV teams and Electrification Lean and business-line leaders globally.

• Define roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, audit schedules, and performance routines across Electrification.

• Facilitate Kaizen, structured problem-solving, maturity evaluations, and capability enhancement initiatives.

• Report directly to the Sustainability Leader for the Electrification Segment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• Extensive and progressive experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or enterprise integration within industrial or manufacturing settings.

• Significant international experience.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement management systems on a global level across diverse countries and cultures.

• Proven history of executing Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives with tangible results.

• Experience in leading M&A due diligence, post-merger integration, and global business transformation projects.

• Expertise in governance frameworks, performance management systems, and standardized operating procedures.

• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and H&S standards and regulations is a plus but not mandatory.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication abilities.

• Proficient in English is required.

• Additional European languages (Spanish, Italian, French, German) are valued.

• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt+ certification or equivalent is an advantage.

• An MBA or postgraduate qualification in operational excellence or business transformation is a benefit.
