This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Deliver remote assistance for Trane Digital Systems.
• Diagnose, upgrade, explore, and maintain digital and control systems.
• Provide support for digital and control offerings in the Upper Midwest region.
• Facilitate commissioning, programming, graphics modifications, communication links, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing for clients with digital agreements.
• Document digital analytics and verify operational sequences.
• Service products and equipment on designated projects, identifying, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and system issues remotely.
• Collaborate with the team leader and clients to comprehend remote service and repair needs.
• Analyze building layouts, anticipate issues, collect analytics, and coordinate necessary on-site work.
• Stay updated on Trane products, including the installation, operation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Uphold safety protocols and ensure security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach and team commitment while accommodating overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight assignments.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or a completion certificate from an accredited technical institution is mandatory.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in HVAC/Controls is typically required.
• 5–7 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient use of handheld devices such as smartphones and iPads.
• Prior experience with Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems is preferred.
• Technical school education or formal training is preferred.
• Availability to work from 7 AM to 4 PM local time.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed by the business.
• Capability to make occasional overnight trips.
• Ability to pass additional drug screening due to the safety-sensitive nature of this role.
