Supply Planning Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Deliver insights driven by data, dashboards, and scenario modeling to assist supply planners, S&OE/S&OP processes, and enterprise-level decision-making.

• Propel ongoing enhancements in supply and inventory analytics, ensuring data quality and model reliability.

• Lead automation and advanced analytics initiatives utilizing Python, SQL, and BI tools.

• Collaborate with Supply Planning Stewards to synchronize analytics with established standards, governance, and process maturity initiatives.

• Construct, sustain, and refine inventory optimization models, encompassing safety stock, segmentation, variability-based rules, and reorder logic.

• Update inventory targets across the portfolio to align with service expectations, demand patterns, and supply limitations.

• Monitor and adjust critical inventory parameters based on actual performance metrics.

• Evaluate inventory health and deliver insights to planners and leadership.

• Conduct inventory-centric scenario analyses for demand fluctuations, supply disruptions, or shifts in service levels.

• Assist supply planners with supply capability modeling, including RCCP, constraints, capacity modeling, and yield/throughput assumptions.

• Create dashboards and KPIs that reflect supply plan stability, achievement, constraint exposure, and preparedness.

• Facilitate S&OE/S&OP with timely supply-demand coverage analytics and early warning signals.

• Develop and uphold supply-focused models, scenario models, coverage calculators, and constraint dashboards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Generally, a minimum of 8 years of experience in data science or a comparable field.

• Profound expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire, or similar platforms.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex data.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

• Aptitude for working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Strong executive presence and leadership abilities.

• Capacity to effectively engage with various levels of management.

• Experience in supply planning and forecasting within a commercial context (preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).

• Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques and frameworks (preferred).
