Supply Chain Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the representative for the Project within the Supply Chain organization and vice versa.

• Represent various Supply Chain sub-functions, including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Procurement, and Transport & Logistics throughout project execution.

• Ensure thorough implementation of customer contractual obligations for the equipment delivered.

• Act as a liaison between Supply Chain, Engineering COE, and project teams to facilitate execution.

• Oversee Supply Chain action progress plans to guarantee on-time delivery, quality, cost, and adherence to contractual obligations.

• Update, analyze, and manage key performance indicators while providing regular feedback from experiences.

• Manage the Supply Chain budget along with identifying risks and opportunities.

• Collaborate with Material Management, Planning, Material Planning, Sourcing, Transport & Logistics, and project team members under the direction of the Project Director.

• Ensure a seamless handover with the ITO team to commence OTR execution, including costing files, ITO EPP, cost assumptions, and industrial schemes.

• Conduct working sessions with various functions to establish project strategy and develop EPP; review its implementation during execution.

• Coordinate the submission of fabrication orders, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, shipments, and daily activities with the Material Planner.

• Update key dates and implement actions to ensure on-time delivery and cash performance.

• Monitor the total cost budget for Manufacturing, Direct Material, Transport, and Warehouse/Storage scopes.

• Analyze slippage issues, consolidate project review data, and ensure consistency in root-cause analysis for margin movements.

• Review project risks and opportunities, assess actions, and determine measures to enhance overall project performance.

• Take responsibility for the delivery of the assigned project scope and report any non-conformities and cost overruns.

• Promote EHS engagement and uphold quality discipline with zero tolerance for delays.

• Report to the Supply Chain organization while participating equally in Project Director team(s).

• A Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Project Management.

• At least 5 years of experience in project management coordination, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or supply chain within a project context.

• Proficiency in English is required due to the project location in the US.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.

• Technical knowledge of Hydro is essential.

• Understanding of production and material control operational processes.

• Capability to identify and communicate customer-specific requirements.

• Ability to influence procurement and production, evaluate and define reaction strategies, develop long-term risk mitigation plans, enhance OTD, and expedite opportunities.

• Familiarity with product cost metrics and forecasting deviations.

• Ability to support and influence suppliers regarding resources, capacity, and technology strategies.

• Knowledge of manufacturing process technology, Sourcing, Advanced Manufacturing, and Engineering/System Integration.

• Project management skills, including milestone and resource planning, risk and opportunity management, operating rhythm, issue tracking, escalation, and total cost management.

• Ability to work effectively across functions and within a global matrix environment.

• Understanding of Lean principles and methodologies.
