Supply Chain Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative for the Supply Chain organization in projects and advocate for Supply Chain sub-functions throughout project execution.

• Ensure that customer contractual specifications are met for all delivered equipment.

• Serve as a liaison among Supply Chain, engineering COE, and project teams.

• Oversee the progress of Supply Chain action plans to guarantee timely delivery, quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to contracts.

• Regularly update, analyze, and manage key performance indicators while providing ongoing feedback based on experience.

• Manage the Supply Chain budget, including risks and opportunities.

• Coordinate efforts with Material Management, Planning, Material Planning, Sourcing, Transport, and Logistics teams.

• Lead the transition with the ITO team to commence OTR execution.

• Develop project strategies and construct EPP with project functions; conduct regular execution reviews.

• Ensure that fabrication order submissions, purchase requisitions, purchase order placements, shipments, and daily activities align with project milestones.

• Update key dates and implement actions to ensure on-time delivery and cash performance.

• Monitor total costs associated with manufacturing, direct materials, transport, and warehouse/storage areas.

• Analyze slippage issues, consolidate project review information, and ensure consistency in identifying the root causes of margin movements.

• Assess project risks and opportunities, making decisions to enhance project performance.

• Take ownership of the assigned project scope, reporting any non-conformities and cost overruns.

• Foster EHS engagement and advocate for quality with a zero-tolerance approach to delays.

• Report to the Supply Chain organization and participate as a member of the Project Director team(s).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's to Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Project Management.

• At least 5 years of experience in project management, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or supply chain within a project-related environment.

• Proficiency in English is required due to the project location in the US.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screen, if applicable.

• Working technical knowledge of Hydro.

• Familiarity with production and material control, procurement, manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain processes.

• Capability to develop milestone and resource plans while managing risks and opportunities.

• Ability to oversee the total cost associated with the respective scope.

• Proficiency in working effectively across functions in a global matrix environment.

• Knowledge and application of Lean principles and methodologies.

• Ability to identify and communicate customer-specific requirements, and formulate reaction and long-term risk mitigation plans.

• Capacity to support and influence suppliers in developing and executing resource, capacity, and technology plans.

• Ability to impact manufacturing process technology roadmaps and engage with Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.
