Supply Chain Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Create, maintain, and enhance forecasting models categorized by product, time period, and supplier.

• Develop and evaluate “what-if” pricing scenarios, analyzing their effects on forecasts and budgets.

• Collect, organize, and sustain data that supports current and 120-day forecasts.

• Examine period results, variances, and performance relative to plans and revised forecasts.

• Prepare market analyses and insights to inform procurement and sourcing decisions.

• Analyze supply chain data to uncover trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations across the global supply chain.

• Collaborate with teams including Procurement, Finance, Product Management, IT, Sales, Accounting, Supply Management, and Product Planning.

• Develop and improve planning tools, including annual MSC/Frame planning tools.

• Create and maintain Supplier and Plant Raw Material Scorecards.

• Lead process-improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining and standardizing analysis.

• Enhance financial forecasting accuracy and reporting practices.

• Support long-term supply chain network strategies through market analysis, asset optimization, technology investment assessment, and capacity planning.

• Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of solutions that enhance Bar-S systems.

• Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented solutions.

• Identify and communicate supply chain risks, along with recommendations and mitigation plans, to leadership.

• Utilize data analytics to reveal patterns, correlations, market trends, customer preferences, and business insights.

• Create presentations that translate complex data and recommendations for Executive Committee-level meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain, Forecasting, Business Analysis, Project Management, or a related field.

• Experience in the meat industry.

• Knowledge of optimization principles and experience with analytical software tools to apply optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with network optimization, inventory optimization, product flow analysis, operations planning, and cost-to-serve analysis.

• Understanding of project management methodologies, concepts, processes, and documentation.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capability to prioritize work independently and effectively manage competing deadlines.

• Exceptional analytical skills to review and interpret data, identify trends and opportunities, and convert findings into actionable recommendations.

• Understanding of database structure and design, mathematical principles, large data sets, distributed systems, and statistical concepts.

• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain functions and their relation to broader business operations.

• Experience with forecasting tools and software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including defining problems, collecting and evaluating data, establishing facts, and drawing meaningful conclusions.

• Ability to set clear objectives, prioritize effectively, and collaborate with business partners to refine processes and achieve results.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely at all organizational levels.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with experience in data analysis tools, PivotTables, and complex charts and graphs.

• Project management experience with the capacity to support initiatives from concept to implementation.

• Working knowledge of SAP.

• Process-improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and facilitate meaningful improvements.
