Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Work autonomously from a remote location while traveling to suppliers to ensure that capability and capacity requirements are fulfilled.

• Collaborate with suppliers to oversee and assist with the implementation of capacity and capability enhancement plans aligned with the RAIL agenda.

• Formulate supplier recovery strategies to elevate Supplier scores and minimize Supplier Quality Corrective actions.

• Establish and execute quality control processes and procedures to guarantee adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of operations, manufacturing, and materials to pinpoint constraints faced by suppliers in production.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and enforce corrective measures.

• Examine data and produce reports to monitor quality performance and highlight areas needing improvement.

• Travel to customer sites as necessary, with an expected travel requirement of 90%.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in conducting assessments and audits within the aerospace, automotive, or other related sectors.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• In-depth knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Understanding of industry standards and regulations, including AS9100 and ISO 9001.

• Experience with supplier operations and supplier development evaluations.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to operate independently as well as in a team setting.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

• Capability to travel up to 90% of the time.
