This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee Supplier Quality & Development processes and projects as an individual contributor.
• Offer insights on supplier qualification/certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution.
• Supervise supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation, and nonconforming material submission processes.
• Assist with supplier onboarding and qualification/certification.
• Manage source inspection and material release processes.
• Lead escape management, root cause analysis, problem solving, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Evaluate quality data to pinpoint systemic issues and create supplier-specific quality initiative strategies.
• Implement PFMEA, MSA, process flow and control plans, SPC, and various quality tools.
• Ensure suppliers comply with contract requirements, including Resourcing Gate, PPAP acceptance, and Work Transfer implementation.
• Apply Business Continuity management methodology at RTX suppliers.
• Initiate projects aimed at achieving quality-at-rate sustainability and supplier performance goals.
• Convey the voice of the customer and identify supplier weaknesses, capabilities, capacities, and areas for improvement.
• Utilize GSQ TT tools, such as Gemba walks, MPR, Quality Improvement Plans, Control Towers, LEAN, and Six Sigma.
• Communicate recovery plans to key stakeholders, leadership, and customers.
• Define and oversee Supplier Transformation Projects.
• Support Strategic Sourcing commodities with inputs on supply chain strategy.
• Foster a quality mindset, continuous improvement, and preventive KPIs.
• Manage moderately sized projects or processes as a subject-matter expert.
• Provide guidance on Red-X and 8D root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Facilitate Correction Action Boards/DQ Clinics with suppliers.
• Promote support for the RTX ZERO program.
• Review processes and metrics for work transfer and process change management requirements.
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, unless restricted by local laws/regulations.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in a supply chain operations environment or equivalent.
• Familiarity with quality regulations and quality core tools.
• Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Knowledge of QMS, including AS 9100 and ISO 9001.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial engineering is preferred.
• Practical problem-solving skills and international management experience are preferred.
• Experience with FAA, TC, and EASA is preferred.
• Desirable experience in auditing/assessing, risk management, and continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma).
• Green Belt/Black Belt certification and CPIM certification are desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to define and establish performance management that supports business objectives and deliverables.
• Capacity to cultivate and manage a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ability to persuade stakeholders to adopt ideas and proposals.
• Capability to foster effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
