Senior Owners Engineer – Civil Structural

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance and support for conceptual design plans during the early stages of project development

• Assist data center clients with scheduling and cost estimation

• Design foundation systems utilizing commercially available software like LPILE

• Create steel structure models for rigid bus and equipment supports

• Execute company quality assurance and quality control processes

• Foster relationships with external business partners

• Present information and address client inquiries

• Lead or engage in client meetings and job site visits to gather or convey design and engineering information

• Mentor junior staff on technical and project management competencies

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines

• Act on behalf of project owners to bridge knowledge gaps, ensure quality, and provide technical leadership from concept development through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution

• Over 5 years of experience in civil structural engineering calculations

• Background in substation and data center projects

• Familiarity with drafting software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation is advantageous

• Strong analytical and computer skills

• Capability to identify necessary software for completing required design tasks

• 5 years of experience with AutoCAD

• 5 years of experience using power systems modeling software like ETAP, SKM, and/or EasyPower

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss technical recommendations with clients

• Ability to work independently, accurately, and with a strong attention to detail
