Substation Protection & Control Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop single line and three line diagrams for substations.

• Design and produce AC/DC schematics.

• Generate layouts for substation panels.

• Develop wiring diagrams and cable schedules for substations.

• Prepare SCADA and communication diagrams.

• Create point-to-point wiring diagrams.

• Collaborate with physical, settings, and drafting teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Analyze and integrate vendor information into design outputs.

• Adhere to client standards pertinent to the work.

• Execute and verify that company QA/QC processes are applied to all design packages.

• Constantly enhance job-related engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or High School Diploma.

• Experience in substation (transmission) design.

• Over 3 years of comprehensive wiring design experience, including the development of single lines, schematics, and relay panels.

• More than 3 years of experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation.

• Proficient understanding of AC/DC control diagrams for accurate point-to-point wiring requirements.

• Capability to assist lead engineers with initial design specifications.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word.

• Familiarity with the practical application of industry standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI.

• Knowledge of design methodologies, tools, and principles essential for producing technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
