Student Success Coach – Virtual High School

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Foster strong, consistent relationships with students through regular check-ins and tailored communication.

• Promote a growth mindset and enhance student confidence through positive, strengths-focused discussions.

• Establish a safe and inclusive virtual environment where students feel heard, supported, and empowered to achieve success.

• Organize and facilitate virtual community events and clubs.

• Monitor academic progress across various subjects using student dashboards, course reports, and teacher communication.

• Provide proactive and timely assistance to students displaying signs of academic difficulties or disengagement.

• Coordinate interventions, one-on-one coaching, and various support resources.

• Celebrate student milestones and share success stories.

• Collaborate with Admissions to gather and assess transcripts and English proficiency scores, and assist with prospective student interviews.

• Work alongside the Academic Team on course maps, scheduling, student goals, and program requirements.

• Communicate with teachers regarding student deadlines, progress, and participation in extracurricular and project-based learning.

• Partner with Marketing to showcase student and teacher accomplishments through recognition programs.

• Ensure access to student-facing tools and learning platforms.

• Assist students and families in navigating key systems and enhancing digital onboarding.

• Act as a liaison between students and tech support when issues arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the US secondary education system.

• Over 2 years of experience working with students aged 12–18 in roles such as teacher, tutor, advisor, or another support capacity.

• More than 2 years of experience in fully remote work.

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing a large student caseload and tracking progress across multiple subjects.

• Proficiency with digital tools, including learning management systems and student dashboards, with the ability to troubleshoot and instruct others on their use.

• Effective stakeholder management skills with students, parents, and internal teams.

• Cross-cultural communication abilities and comfort working with families from diverse countries and educational backgrounds.

• Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours to accommodate students across different time zones.

• Proven commitment to student wellbeing and growth.

• Experience in a virtual school setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge/A-Levels, AP) is preferred.

• Knowledge of the US college admissions process is preferred.

• Experience in organizing clubs, events, or online student communities in a virtual environment is preferred.

• Background or certification in counseling, advising, or coaching is preferred.

• Proficiency in languages other than English is preferred.
