This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guide and support students in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies to achieve their educational goals and successfully complete their degrees.
• Deliver high-quality, Christ-centered advising aimed at fostering academic success, spiritual development, and global engagement.
• Respond to student inquiries through various channels including phone, email, and in-person appointments, tailored to the student's location.
• Maintain documentation of advising interactions within student records.
• Offer guidance on course registration, financial aid, academic progress, transfer credits, work-life balance, student resources, faculty issues, and other student needs.
• Make proactive outbound calls to evaluate early-intervention requirements and strengthen advisor-advisee relationships.
• Identify barriers to course completion or registration and motivate students to persevere and excel academically.
• Analyze, organize, and refresh reports, spreadsheets, and templates as needed.
• Ensure data integrity, facilitate effective student communication, and manage retention trend reporting.
• Interpret and analyze student data to proactively reach out to students and meet monthly retention targets.
• Collaborate with other departments to handle and process urgent student requests efficiently.
• Prepare and strategize for upcoming academic blocks and semesters.
• Work with colleagues on special initiatives and projects.
• Participate in team meetings, training webinars, and conference calls.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Proficient in technology.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Comfortable with a significant volume of inbound and outbound calls.
• Capable of articulating thoughts clearly, persuasively, and professionally to students.
• Possess self-confidence, patience, empathy, and availability while establishing rapport with students.
• Quick to understand and adapt to the diverse needs and characteristics of multiple generations.
• Innovative thinking and initiative to devise solutions while clarifying and enforcing CCU’s policies and expectations.
• Flexible, teachable, and open to change.
• Skilled at proactively identifying suitable resources in unfamiliar scenarios.
• Ability to recognize and learn from mistakes.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships and operate with integrity and respect.
• Thrive in a dynamic call center environment while managing distractions professionally.
• Previous experience in advising, student services, higher education, public relations, customer service, or related fields is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a personal relationship and faith that aligns with CCU’s evangelical mission.
• Ability to express personal faith and apply biblical principles in a professional context.
• A strong sense of calling to the ministry of Colorado Christian University.
• Regular and meaningful participation in a Bible-believing evangelical local church.
• Knowledge of the Scriptures and a passion for Christian education.
• A traditional evangelical Christian lifestyle that is consistent with CCU’s Statement of Faith and Strategic Priorities.
