This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Offer expert technical insights for studies and the design of bridges along with other road-related infrastructures.

• Collect and correlate fundamental engineering data using established and clearly defined methodologies.

• Engage in detailed or routine engineering tasks that involve calculations and a range of tests from simple to complex.

• Create, assess, and execute design procedures to ensure high-quality and cost-effective deliverables.

• Take part in interdisciplinary evaluations of project outcomes.

• Generate construction cost estimates and technical effort assessments for various projects.

• Conduct quality-control reviews of design calculations and drawings.

• Draft technical specifications.

• Assist in the formulation of engineering budgets and timelines to fulfill project-specific needs.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline with 5 years of experience as a Bridge Design Engineer, Site Engineer, or in a similar role; alternatively, a Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in pre-stressed concrete bridge design.

• Background in designing steel and concrete segmental and arch bridges.

• Experience with stay cable bridge design.

• Familiarity with erection engineering.

• Competence with finite element software, including SOFiSTiK and Midas.

• Proficient in Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Revit.

• Telecommuting is allowed from any location within the US.

• New hires are required to participate in an in-person Day 1 onboarding session at an AECOM office location.
