This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Lead, organize, and manage support resources for pricing large, intricate projects.
• Estimate material expenses and related labor for extensive and long-term customer programs.
• Assist with concluding project assessments.
• Enhance and develop project processes and tools for the pre-construction team.
• Participate in go/no-go discussions, pre-bid meetings, turnover meetings, contract-risk assessments, and legal reviews.
• Create comprehensive estimates for Building Automation projects.
• Prioritize projects and tasks to align with the sales schedule.
• Review customer specifications and drawings thoroughly.
• Coordinate and validate subcontractor quotes and scopes of work.
• Generate detailed scope letters and optimal system designs.
• Conduct pre-bid meetings and site visits for prospective projects.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and sales teams to reduce costs during the bidding process.
• Reconcile final job costs following project review meetings.
• Provide support for sales calls as required.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Seamlessly transition awarded projects to the operations team.
• Support vendor scopes, pricing, and reports; job shadow and cross-train as necessary.
• Assist sales in project qualification and prioritization.
• Advocate for new initiatives within the PreCon organization.
• Report directly to the Pre-Construction Manager.
• Over 3 years of proficient system application and product knowledge.
• Experience in developing turnkey estimates for Building Automation projects.
• Capability to prioritize assigned projects/tasks to adhere to the sales schedule.
• Ability to assess customer specifications and drawings for technical compatibility and competitiveness.
• Proficient in analyzing, documenting, and communicating technical terms and conditions in line with company standards.
• Competence in coordinating and validating subcontractor quotes and scopes of work.
• Skill in developing detailed scope letters and optimal system designs.
• Ability to attend and lead pre-bid meetings and site walk-throughs.
• Proficiency in consulting with operations, engineering, and sales teams throughout the tendering process.
• Capacity to reconcile final job costs after internal and external project review meetings.
• Ability to identify and document discrepancies in plans and specifications.
• Capability to support vendor scopes, pricing, and reports.
• Willingness to complete necessary technical training.
• Construction industry experience and Building Automation knowledge as indicated by the role responsibilities.
