This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Provide support and report to the designated Project Manager(s) or Project Director.
• Frequently interact with the Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors.
• Assist Project Manager(s) in overseeing, coordinating, and managing projects throughout all design and construction phases.
• Offer leadership in electrical and mechanical system design, including technical guidance on systems that can be maintained concurrently.
• Prepare various documents such as reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout documents, and client presentations.
• Keep project information updated in project management software.
• Coordinate meetings for the project team.
• Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation throughout all phases of construction.
• Uphold MEP design standards, manage basis of design updates, prototype designs, template specifications, and OFCI equipment specifications.
• Review and inform design RFPs and create MEP engineering-service scopes.
• Manage external design consultants during both design and construction stages.
• Ensure that MEP contract documents are completed timely, within budget, and in accordance with company standards.
• Convey design standards to engineering, operations, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide strategic technical leadership across various fast-paced electrical and mechanical design projects.
• Develop innovative solutions aimed at reducing costs without compromising quality, reliability, or energy efficiency.
• Assist procurement through vendor submittal reviews, factory witness testing, and evaluation of OFCI equipment.
• Identify and implement technologies that enhance energy efficiency, system resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Apply industry advancements and best practices to enhance operations and project outcomes.
• Communicate and enforce engineering and design policies effectively.
• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• A college degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in project management for large-scale construction programs, including data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proficiency in MEP design, electrical and mechanical systems, and engineering leadership.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and the MS Office Suite.
• Experience overseeing the preparation and approval of MEP contract documents from third-party design consultants.
• Strong comprehension of concurrently maintainable electrical power systems, mechanical cooling systems, and specifications for OFCI equipment.
• Exceptional presentation skills and effectiveness in client-facing roles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, procurement, and project management teams.
